The Alliance of Plastics Processors (APP), part of the Society of the Plastics Industry (SPI), has awarded LRM the 2006 “Building and Construction” award for LRM’s unique thermoplastic composite H-beam.

At nearly 20 feet in length, the 190-pound structural H-beam is officially recognized as one of the world’s largest unitary thermoplastic composite parts.

The H-beam provides a key structural element of LRM’s innovative thermoplastic composite shelter prototypes for the US Air Force.

The H-beam is produced using LRM’s proprietary, patented TPF ThermoPlastic Flowforming™ technology. The side, floor, and ceiling panels used in the shelter are also made possible using the same technology.
